Anjunadeep 12 - CD3 Mixed by James Grant & Jody Wisternoff - Continuous Mix
We're deep in the Anjunadeep 12 rabbit hole, specifically CD3 mixed by James Grant and Jody Wisternoff, because nothing says 'I have feelings' like a perfectly curated deep house journey. This is the soundtrack for staring out of rain-streaked windows or finding that zen state on a long drive home at dawn. The vibe is intimate and expansive, like a secret gathering in a misty forest clearing, all soft lights and shared silences. Technically, this is a masterclass in deep house pacing, with an average BPM of 124.4 and a harmonic backbone often in 5A, offering a warm, minor-key embrace.
The energy is overwhelmingly low-end dominant (0.728), with supportive mids (0.266) and almost no high-end sparkle (0.006), creating a submerged, textural soundscape that prioritizes atmosphere over aggression. The mixing is patient and layered, using keys like 3B and 4B to weave a cohesive tapestry, with long blends that let each track breathe and evolve naturally. For the diggers, the opener 'boerd - Flower' is a stunning, cinematic piece that immediately sets a contemplative mood. 'Alex Albrecht pres.
Melquíades - The Summit (Anjunadeep Edit)' is a peak-time weapon with its driving bassline and ethereal pads, while 'Lannka - Solum' offers a more minimalist, percussive interlude. 'Lycoriscoris - Utsurou' brings a touch of ambient introspection, and 'Budakid featuring Esther Veen - Surga' is a vocal highlight that tugs at the heartstrings. The journey starts with the ambient beauty of 'Flower', ascends through the rhythmic depth of 'The Summit', and closes with the quirky, sample-led 'gonima - Organ Tutorials'.
