Steve Aoki
Tomorrowland 2023 | MainStage
Steve Aoki's Tomorrowland 2023 MainStage set is a spectacle in the truest sense—a chaotic, high-BPM carnival where the line between DJing and event production beautifully blurs. We're here for the cake-throwing, the raft-riding, and most importantly, the relentless barrage of festival electro house. The atmosphere is pure, unadulterated sensory overload. With an average BPM of 130.1, this is a frenetic journey through tech-house, big room, and Aoki's signature bounce, frequently anchored in the high-energy key of 12A.
The pacing is breakneck, a non-stop succession of drops and builds designed to keep the crowd in a perpetual state of motion. The mixing is quick and impactful, often using sharp cuts and vocal samples to maintain intensity. The energy profile is dominated by a powerful, driving mid-range, perfect for mainstage fist-pumps. The crate digging is a mix of Aoki originals and peak-time weapons.
Opening with the obscure 'Dead Can Trance' is a wonderfully weird flex, while 'Double Helix' and 'Popcorn' with Ummet Ozcan are certified crowd-movers. Dropping Chris Lake's 'Boneless' is a savvy nod to the tech-house underground, and 'Get Lower' with Lil Jon is a timeless trap-infused riot. The journey is a whirlwind: from the trance-tinged opener, through the peak-time chaos of his own originals and edits, to the final, melodic comedown of 'Mirror Mirror' with Showtek and Jem Cooke. A full tracklist of mainstage mayhem.
