Afrojack
Tomorrowland Belgium 2018
Afrojack's Tomorrowland Belgium 2018 set is a masterclass in mainstage energy management, a battering ram of big room house, electro, and clever pop edits designed to keep a massive field in a state of perpetual motion. The vibe is one of raw, grinning power, with Afrojack himself orchestrating the chaos from the decks, every drop met with a volcanic roar. Technically, it sits at a punchy 129.3 BPM average, with the 3B key offering a solid, anthemic foundation for many of the synth-driven bangers. The energy profile is notably mid-forward at 0.5181, meaning the riffs, stabs, and vocal hooks are the primary drivers, supported by a thick low-end at 0.3516 and crisp highs at 0.1298 for impact.
This creates a sound that's both muscular and catchy. For crate digging, look to the opening: Kiro Kosta's 'Voyager 1' sets a cosmic, anticipatory tone. Afrojack's own 'Bassride' is a minimal, driving tool that shows his techier side. Dropping Calvin Harris & Disciples' 'How Deep Is Your Love' is a slick, melodic interlude, while 'No Beef' with Steve Aoki remains a festival slam-dunk.
The inclusion of the Ummet Ozcan remix of 'More Than You Know' is a smart nod to a contemporary banger. The journey begins with the atmospheric build of 'Voyager 1', erupts into a series of crowd-commanding peaks, and closes with the brutal, no-subtlety title of 'Mammoth', a final, seismic blast of pure EDM.
