Awakenings ADE 2025
When Awakenings books a drum & bass act, you know the bassbins are in for a thorough stress test. Azyr x Cloudy’s ADE 2025 slot is a relentless assault of modern jump-up and techy D&B, a welcome shot of adrenaline in a techno-dominated landscape. The vibe is pure warehouse chaos, strobes flashing on a sea of moving bodies, every rewinds and drop met with a collective roar.
This is high-octane drum & bass, averaging a fierce 157 BPM and frequently visiting the aggressive 12A and 10B keys for maximum impact. The energy is split between skull-rattling sub-bass and razor-sharp mid-range percussion, creating a chaotic, exhilarating pressure cooker of sound. Their tracklist is a who’s who of current floor-fillers: Inductor’s ‘Turn Up The Bass’ is a statement of intent, CLOUDY’s own ‘OTRA HORA’ is a militant roller, and Prakas’s ‘Kick Some Ass’ does exactly what it says on the tin.
They open with the sub-bass warning shot of ‘Turn Up The Bass’, peak with the brutalist funk of B2’s ‘Systembreaker’, and close with a cheeky, high-BPM flip of ‘Running Up That Hill’. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but for us, it’s a perfect, chaotic reset.
